The Metropolitan Library System is one of Oklahoma County’s premier information, education and entertainment resources. Its 17 libraries serve approximately 600,000 people who depend on the library for its collection of materials, enrichment programs and information needs.

The library system employs just over 400 dedicated and diverse people. Our employees are not just staff members; they are active participants in our mission to facilitate the free flow of information and ideas by providing access to materials, services and programs to Oklahoma County’s diverse community.
