Pre-employment Physical and Drug Testing:

It is the policy of The Valspar Corporation to require all prospective new employees, who have received a job offer, to complete a pre-employment physical examination which includes a drug test. This examination will be conducted by a licensed physician designated by Valspar.

Prospective employees who refuse to complete the physical examination, including the drug test, will not be hired.

Prospective employees who test positive on the drug test will be informed of the results and will not be considered for employment for a minimum of six months from the date they tested positive. They can reapply for employment after six months, and must complete the physical examination, including the drug test at that time.

Prospective employees who test positive may request in writing a second test of the same sample at his/her own expense, or submit in writing additional information that would explain the positive test results. This request must be made within 24 hours, or the time specified under applicable state law, of receiving the initial test results. If this second test is negative, Valspar will pay for the test and the job offer will be reissued.

I understand Valspar's pre-employment physical examination and drug testing policy, and I agree to complete the physical examination, including the drug test as part of the employment process.

Employment At Will

I understand that, if I am hired, my employment and compensation may be terminated, at the discretion of either myself or my employer with or without cause, and with or without notice, at anytime, and that any compensation is to be paid only for services rendered up until the time of the termination. My at will employment status can be modified only if placed in writing by my Supervisor and Human Resources manager.
