We are invested in you. At California Pizza Kitchen, we are committed to cultivating a training environment from the very beginning of your career to keep you excited, engaged, and challenged. All MIT training takes place in a World Class Training Center (WCTC) where you will receive weekly one-on-one touch bases from your Regional Partner (RP), periodic touch bases from a Training Support Person (TSP) from the Restaurant Support Center (RSC) and weekly feedback from your training team. Your training with California Pizza Kitchen will prepare you to not only oversee a restaurant but run your own business. Upon completion of training you will be ready to participate in a variety of development opportunities, the first being a 5-day workshop at our Restaurant Support Center. Our Regional Training Manager RTM Program allows managers within our restaurants to become a coach and mentor, increasing training and development within each region. We have also created the Culinary Coach and Field Manager of Training and Development positions where their purpose is to visit the restaurants and partner with the restaurant teams with coaching and making sure everyone knows the correct procedures while encouraging you to be the best you can be! California Pizza Kitchen will also provide you with a Career Path for guidance towards each position to keep you informed and on course for the next step in your career. This development is enhanced when we combine it with multiple mentors at various levels to keep your career focused and moving in a forward direction.
