Description

RN74 seeks a team-oriented and knowledgeable line Cook to join our kitchen team in San Francisco. We seek a Cook with a flexible availability.

Line Cook

Must be proficient in classic cooking techniques, basic butchery, contemporary sauce work, sous vide cookery, plating, and product knowledge. The job requires self discipline, a strong sense of urgency, organization and ability to work with others.

Must be able to work cleanly, efficiently and with respect for quality ingredients and careful attention to preparation.

Requirements:

  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the kitchen area.
  • Minimum 2 solid years experience in a busy, upscale, fine dining kitchen environment.
  • Must have the stamina and be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Culinary degree preferred.

Celebrated Wine Director and Chef Michael Mina have partnered to open RN74, a unique Burgundy-inspired urban wine bar & restaurant at the Millenium Tower in SoMa. Named after Route Nationale 74, the major thoroughfare passing through the heard of France's Burgundy region, RN74 is a 40-seat urban wine bar and an 80-seat restaurant.

The restaurant will feature an expansive wine list created by Parr, while the cuisine at RN74 a perfect complement to the wines – creative, modern, but simple interpretations of regional French cuisine punctuated with seasonal, fresh ingredients and bold flavors.
