We are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Director of Product Marketing. This role will report directly to the General Manager of Nolo and will be responsible for identifying new product opportunities, and driving the positioning, messaging, pricing, online sales, and direct sales tools development for Nolo’s offering as well as leading strategic online direct response. In this role you will utilize your product marketing expertise across multiple platforms including web, books, SaaS and more.
-Planning and execution of product marketing activities.
-Creating product marketing plans, including market segmentation, positioning, packaging and pricing alternatives.
-Designing and executing direct marketing tests, creating test matrices, determining segmentation and targeting strategies, writing copy, determining offers.
-Developing market requirements and ensuring they are represented in product roadmaps and releases.
-Creating product collateral to support outbound communication, demand generation, and sales efforts.
-Driving outbound email and advertising strategies for awareness, acquisition, retention, and upgrading existing customers to new products.
-Planning and executing detailed product launch plans.
-Performing on-going forecasting, tracking, and results analysis – delivering ROI metrics to internal stakeholders.
-Effectively partnering with cross-functional teams (product/project management, engineering and sales) to drive successful end to end campaign generation and execution.
-Achieving online sales goals.
-5 -10 years of related product marketing with a track record of implementing effective programs; experience with online legal is a plus.
-Expertise and a proven track record successfully marketing internet products and applications.
-Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field; MBA a plus.
-Demonstrated leadership ability.
-Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Positive attitude; contributor to a positive team spirit.
