Travelzoo Producers are the ultimate deal experts. Our role involves wearing many hats; we are part consultant, analyst, researcher, journalist, writer and deal sleuth. We are travel deal obsessed. We work directly with travel companies – from hotels and resorts, to airlines, cruise agents and vacation packagers -- to develop the best deals possible. Then we look for every opportunity to put these deals in front of our global subscriber base through our website, apps and social media channels. The role requires a unique mix of responsibilities: developing and sustaining strong relationships with travel companies, digging deep into research and making recommendations based on the findings, and writing concise deal stories that weave in the details and inspire travel. Responsibilities:

Work directly and negotiate with major travel companies, including hotel chains, airlines, vacation packagers, cruises, OTAs and advertising agencies, to produce incredible deals that inspire leisure travel

Relentless research in pursuit of the deal

Thoroughly review and test deals before recommending for publication

Write clear and concise copy that explains why a deal is outstanding

Monitor deal performance and never stop looking for ways to please our subscribers and advertisers

Partner with sales staff to nurture advertiser relationships, but never sell out

Manage one or more producers either directly or on a project basis

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required

At least seven years experience in the travel industry or with an online media company

Extensive travel experience
