Operations Project Manager
Overall responsibility
The Operations Project Manager will report to the Chief Operations Officer and will be responsible for cross functional projects within the Operations Team and within the whole Wizz Air organization. The Person will lead project teams primarily in the Operations function and occasionally in the Commercial or in the whole Wizz Air organization.
The Operations Project Manager will be expected to take the lead of existing projects, and to initiate new ones in line with the Company’s development and strategy.
Responsibilities include:

Take the lead in different projects, like base openings, airport moves in the network, etc.

Define projects and prepare plans involving all responsible functions and tasks

Monitor the day-to-day activities of the project teams and ensure work progresses to plan

Manage the schedules and ensure all dates are clearly agreed, communicated and executed accordingly

Track the actual and budgeted costs of the projects and monitor the cost saving possibilities
-
Prioritize projects, tasks and resources based on the goals and the Company’s strategy

Monitor risks to identify issues and propose solutions and contingencies in advance

Initiate new projects recognizing the functional future needs

Regularly report the status of projects to senior management and key stakeholders
Requirements:

University degree

Strong project management experience, ideally minimum 5 years

Strong organizational skills

Able to delegate tasks and follow-up the status of the projects

Good interpersonal, negotiating and communications skills

Self-motivated, independent and proactive
-
Hard worker, details oriented, striving for accuracy

Strong team player and motivator
-
Resilient, ready to work remotely and travel intensively across Europe

Fluent spoken / written English
