Planned Systems International is currently seeking a Research Program Support Specialist to support our future efforts in support of the U.S. Air Force Medical Modeling and Simulation Training project's Central Program Office in San Antonio, TX
 
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
 
The Research Program Support Specialist will perform difficult and complex administrative tasks, work on a variety of projects concurrently, and provide support in a highly confidential matter, which shall include:
  • Coordinating management and project meetings to include but not limited to: meetings set-up (in-house, virtual, off-site), agenda preparation, conference calls, distributing materials, logistical coordination, budgeting, and registration support for conferences, meetings, and workshops.
  • Managing resources and materials required for meetings, presentations, and trainings.
  • Developing and monitoring project reports and analyzing project progress.
  • Partnering with the client on budgetary items, such as expense reports, travel allocation, and simulation tools.
  • Developing and editing creative and appealing PowerPoint presentations for the Central Program Office.
  • Providing input and graphic design during the development of curriculum, learning aids, scenarios, and training documentation in the support of AFMS medical simulation training.
  • Collecting data for standardized simulation encounters and research studies from a geographically disperse stakeholder group.
  • Ensuring the adherence to all research protocols throughout the data collection time frame, and ensuring that research control is maintained across all data collection points.
Minimum Requirements: 
  • Five years of experience providing support and project management support in a government-operated medical research environment.
  • Must have an Associate’s degree in business, statistics, healthcare or related field of study.
  • Must demonstrate familiarity with military medical protocols.
  • Experience working independently and with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access as it related to developing public correspondence, tracking and analyzing data, and communicating with senior program leadership on various levels.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organization, and prioritization skills required with a high level of accuracy and discretion essential.
  • Sound analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
  • Have the ability to solve problems and work as a team player with the ability to multi-task and support various individuals in a research environment. 
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines in a dynamic environment is required.
  • Must have U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and/or maintain the required Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Must be able to acquire the immunization and personnel medical records to be cleared to work in a Military Treatment Facility.
