Description

Adelphi University’s Ruth S. Ammon School of Education is pursuing an exciting agenda of growth and community outreach.  Seeking dynamic educators committed to serving diverse populations in the metropolitan area.  This position requires an earned doctorate in the teaching discipline or a related field; an active scholarly agenda; service to the Ruth S. Ammon School of Education and the University; and a strong commitment to teaching, advising, and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.

DEPARTMENT OF CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION

 

Educational Technology

Tenure Track Assistant Professor

Requirements:  Earned doctorate in Educational Technology or related field; experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in a school of education in instructional technology; evidence of ability to work collaboratively both within and outside the university; an active research agenda in educational technology; and experience in pursuing innovative approaches to instructional delivery, including creative and effective uses of technology and online instruction;  Experience in educational leadership and/or literacy is preferred.  Evidence of work with special needs students and culturally diverse populations is desirable. Responsibilities include curriculum development, advising students; working collaboratively with faculty colleagues; and service to the Ruth S. Ammon School of Education and the University.
