The Database Administrator will administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. They will also implement data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. The DBA should be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field; relying on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, maintenance, and the tuning of production databases while ensuring high levels of data availability

Creating, testing, and deploying changes to complex ETL processes

Writing code for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures

Working with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures

Troubleshooting production processes and solving problems in real-time.
- Supporting the production database systems by responding to and resolving production issues
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree or higher in Business Information Systems or other technically-oriented major.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

2-4 years of experience working with all aspects of MS SQL (2000 / 2005 / 2008)

Experience in a production environment with emphasis on ETL processes (SSIS / DTS)

Experience designing databases from concept to implementation

Experience with C#/.Net/ASP

Analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail

Knowledge and experience with the Software Development Lifecycle

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Exposure to medical-claims processing is a plus

Experience with MS SQL Reporting Services is plus
