THE BIG PICTURE
This position is in our integration test department and reports to an integration test lead, but also involves working closely with software developers to validate features as they are implemented. The individual should be experienced with testing client-server and embedded software solutions. Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail are required.

THE EVERYDAY VIEW
The integration test engineer will be responsible for validating that solutions (comprised of deliverables from multiple development teams) are ready for release.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 2 - 4 years of experience testing software/embedded solutions.
• Ability to perform integration tests and diagnose root cause of quality issues including both functional and content defects
• Ability to perfrom ad hoc, scripted, and regression testing to support continual integration and test driven development
• Ability to develop and execute QA test plans to meet product and customer requirements is a must
• Familiar with standard software development environments and tools including Agile processes, ticketing systems, and version control.
• Capable of executing simple SQL queries as part of testing duties is a plus.
• Scripting (programming) skills for the purpose of automating repetitive tasks is a plus.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools for unit tests, loading tests, and integration tests is a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Familiarity with C/C++ and Java is desired.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical descipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
