· All those tasks described in the Airframe Mechanic job description plus rigging, functioning, independent verification, testing of aircraft airframe and engine systems and components, and performing aircraft engine ground runs. Airframe Technicians, with aircraft type training and qualifications, have knowledge to perform, verify and release basic aircraft electrical systems support tasks for airframe and engine systems, excluding troubleshooting, wiring changes (terminations, splices, and installations), functionals, or initial systems power-ups after major or disturbed systems maintenance. Release on-aircraft, basic “touch-up” scope, paint and process maintenance. · Carry out Prototype Modification installations on aircraft using acquired knowledge and experience, including liaison with engineering staff to recommend appropriate changes to the Technical Data Package (TDP), and to provide advice on the sequence of mechanical installation. Possess and demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the mechanical system relationships and system safety parameters between disturbed systems and newly installed equipment, and performs Ground Test Plan (GTP) functionals on prototype, proof-fit and production approved modifications on aircraft and components. · Perform ramp duties (as per Airframe Mechanic) plus receives post flight aircrew debriefs and determines defect/unserviceability corrective actions required (snag recovery) and performs the required maintenance including initiation of deferred maintenance, review of recurring defects, and aircraft maintenance record set (AMRS) entries and MRA. · Travels and works on off-site Mobile Repair Parties/Field Teams, and Work Parties. Provides on-job-training (OJT), on-job-experience (OJE) support, and technical supervision to Airframe Mechanics and other Airframe Technicians. Attends trade training and development sessions for qualifications/authorization purposes. Adheres to policies, procedures and directives as established by the company. Position Requirements: · Possess a comprehensive knowledge of aircraft structures and systems including, but not limited to, flight controls, hydraulic and oil distribution systems, fuel systems, oxygen systems, landing gear systems, engine systems, transmission and drive train systems, rotor systems, life support and cargo systems. · Must be capable of reading and interpreting technical documentation such as technical manuals, drawings and Technical Data Packages (TDPs), Work Orders (WOs), Request for Engineering Services (RES) instructions and associated data. · Must demonstrate a highly skilled to artisan level of task proficiency, which is acquired by considerable training and practical experience, for authorization for the Technician-level-task performance of maintenance (POM) and must demonstrate a thorough understanding of airworthiness requirements for authorization to perform airworthiness functions.
· Preference will be given to applicants that have six months CH124 ‘hands-on’ experience within the last 24 months, as specified in IMP Aerospace MPM, and who currently hold a current POM authorization.
