Casual Employment Opportunity
§ Perform First and Second level repairs on aircraft structural components and ground support equipment. This will include, but not be limited to, the assessment of damage, control of corrosion, repairs, modification and replacement of aircraft structures and structural components using recognized techniques and specialized tools and equipment. § Ramp duties will include, but not be limited to, pre/post flight support, marshalling, parking, towing, fueling/defueling and installation/removal of required mission equipment and crash and salvage response. § Travel and work in support of mobile repair parties. § Attend training for trade and personnel development and for qualification/certification purposes. § Sweep and clean hangar, shop, stores and office areas, remove all debris accumulated by tasks performed and maintain a clean, safe work area. § Adhere to policies, procedures and directives established by the Company. § Demonstrate a personal commitment to IMP Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies. Continually focusing on individual safety and the safety of others and fully comply with all Federal Health and Safety legislation. § Perform other tasks as may be required from time to time.
§ Graduate of a recognized aircraft structural repair course or apprenticeship program and hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license or be qualified as an Aircraft Structures Technician within the Canadian Armed Forces or equivalent commercial experience. § Must have at least 6 months hands-on experience in the last 24 months on type ( § Thorough knowledge of aircraft structures and structural components, inspection techniques, damage assessment, aircraft materials and hardware, use of special tools and equipment. Knowledge of corrosion control techniques. Capable of reading and interpreting technical documentation such as maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints and Standard Plant Procedures. Ability to use standard computer programs and such specialized ones as may be necessary in the performances of the duties. Ability to drive vehicles and tow tractors. § Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances.

This is a term position for three years with the possibility of two, one year extensions to carry out first and second line maintenance tasks up to and including 3000 hour inspections (engine and airframe) on CH146 Griffon helicopters on-site at 403 Squadron, at Canadian Forces Base (CFB) | |
