National Curriculum Sales Manager

Description

We are a front runner in 21st century digital solutions for the K12 market and we are excited to announce the creation of new business development positions within our field sales organization that will promote best-in-class supplemental curriculum products and practices to our customers.

As the National Curriculum Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to help us shape the future of this sales vertical. The successful candidate will possess the experience, education and documented skill to:

• Lead an innovative; curriculum based sales strategy for K12 market.
• Develop new business opportunities and buying partnerships with school districts across the country
• Provide our sales teams with effective positioning strategies for our products and participate in closing deals.
• Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly/annual revenue targets
• Generate incremental revenue streams.
• Design and implement strategic plans that outline the growth opportunities in your territory
• Raise awareness of the capabilities of our products with key stakeholders in curriculum development.
• Co-ordinate executive level briefings with Department of Education and strategic district contacts to assist in developing requirements for the next generation classroom portfolio.
• Partner with marketing and product development groups to ensure product solutions and materials meet the needs of our evolving customer base.
• Collaborate with publishing and product development groups on emerging Curriculum market trends and brainstorm for next generation products.
• Provide insight to Gale-Cengage leadership for new K12 revenue growth opportunities.
• Foster key partnerships that will allow Gale-Cengage the ability to integrate into mission critical applications for the district.
• Be entrepreneurial in nature, ambitious and creative.
• Institute a clear methodology for tracking and communicating competitive data for this market.
• Come with existing contacts and relationships with key decision makers in the educational market

Education/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 years field sales experience in the K12 education market at a regional or national level
• Met or exceeded your goals in at least two of the last 3 years.
• Willingness and ability to travel 65-75% consistently across one half of the US/Canada.

Preferences:
• Masters Degree
• Experience as a K12 school administrator
• Previous experience with demonstrated success in a business development role within the K12 market place.
