Who you are: Assistant Manager Who your leader is: Where you spend your time: What lululemon community you work in: Status: THE MISSION OF AN ASSISTANT MANAGER (the Role): The Assistant Manager is responsible for certain aspects of the Manager ‘80/20 Checklist’ (attached), with direction by the Store Manager, so that the store consistently produces a ‘Wow! It’s You!’ guest experience. When the Store Manager is absent, the Assistant Manager is accountable for all store operation functions. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT MANAGER (the Tasks): ASSISTANT MANAGER ‘MUST HAVES’ (the Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications): • Extraordinary proven leadership capabilities • Strong sense of personal style and athletically minded • Takes full responsibility and accountability for their work lives and results • Excellent team player; has the ability to work independently • Open to giving & receiving feedback • One year of exceptional performance educating on the retail floor preferred • Completion of some secondary education will be considered an asset • Excellent decision making and problem resolution skills • Extraordinary guest interaction, organizational and time management skills • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) AN ASSISTANT MANAGER’S WORK WEEK (the Hours): The Assistant Manager works 40 hours a workweek (5 days) consisting of a minimum of 24 hours per week managing/educating on the retail floor; at least one day is a weekend day/night.
