Proposal Manager
DESCRIPTION: Serves as a key member of the Corporate Business Development team with the primary responsibility for the development of high quality proposals from inception to delivery. Will work in a team environment managing and coordinating Federal government information technology proposals. Develops and prepares detailed outlines and compliance matrices. Coordinates the work of technical contributors, proposal staff, and other internal and external team members to achieve high-quality output. Copy edits proposals and related documents for completeness and compliance with editorial standards and quality assures proposal formatting/composition. The successful candidate will also support the proposal process by writing and producing resumes; developing tables and graphics; preparing project descriptions, qualification summaries and presentations; and various promotional materials. In addition, the successful candidate will manage a business opportunity tracking database; participate in preparation for exhibits and conferences; and prepare marketing material.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Qualified applicants will possess 10+ years of proposal development experience in the Federal government environment; in-depth knowledge of RFP requirements; excellent communications and editorial skills; proposal layout and formatting; word processing/graphic skills; the ability to handle multiple tasks with strict deadlines; and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Performs other duties and special projects as needed and directed by the Manager.
