Description
This position is responsible for the development and coordination of marketing programs in select international markets (direct sales and distributors) in order to meet and preferably exceed the Company’s sales and marketing objectives within EMEA. In coordination with the EMEA Marketing Director, the Global Marketing Department and Affiliate Managers, being the key contact for all European marketing activities.
 
·         Create and maintain the winning marketing strategy;
·         Build on success by sales growth and effective product introductions;
·         Achieve and maintain the goal of being a broad-based urology company;
·         Input and contribution to create and maintain a strong, dynamic team;
·         Support open communication and feedback within the Global Sales & Marketing department and with the Clinical Department;
·         Input in the formulation of the European annual and long-term strategic marketing plans;
·         Organize and plan Affiliate marketing plans;
·         Integrate Affiliate marketing plans within the global marketing strategy;
·         Pro-active attitude towards competitive stance, emerging technologies, less invasive techniques and licensed products, and specific opportunities in key Affiliate markets; 
·         Increase awareness of worldwide issues from a sales and marketing perspective; 
·         Achieve European sales and marketing objectives through the design, implementation, and tracking of effective marketing programs and tools targeted to meet the needs of Affiliate markets;
·         Provide feedback to Affiliate Managers on the effectiveness of programs and future market needs; 
·         Work with headquarters to develop market research objectives, studies, and data base to support initiatives and product proposals;
·         Create and assemble analyzed market data and conclusions regarding future opportunities;
·         Identify and follow up on new business opportunities and give input on the team and the management on this;
·         Assess market needs and monitor market dynamics for current and future products;
·         Participate in regularly scheduled conference calls with the Marketing group in Minnetonka;
·         Assists in the identification of key European meetings, Symposia, Congresses, and exhibits which the Company should sponsor or participate in, prioritizing those which will provide the best business opportunity and return on investment;
·         Maintain high level of field contact through field visits;
·         Maintain sense of priorities, issues, needs, cost containment and opportunities;
·         Work effectively with Global Product Management to help forecast and monitor inventory requirements for all products, and for successful product introductions;
·         Provide direct input to forecasts, based on market knowledge and analysis;
·         Maintain a broad-based knowledge of product and clinical applications;
·         Understands anatomical and physiological basis for product applications;
·         Communicate effectively with medical and research personnel;
·         Keeps abreast of market based trends in disease management and ongoing trends in the global market
EDUCATION
·         BS or BA (MBA preferred)
 
EXPERIENCE
·         Preferably 4-6 years of marketing experience in a healthcare field, with a track record of proven growth in assigned products
·         European Healthcare marketing experience
·         Experience in Therapy development and penetration
·         Some sales experience desired
·         Experience with the challenges of working effectively across International borders and cultures
·         Experience in marketing planning
·         Experience in product launches cross-countries.
·         Experiences in different products (flexible in changing products)

·         Marketing and product communication leadership
·         Proven ability to determine product positioning and key promotional elements for product line.

·         Analytical skills (including understanding of business economics and financial measures)
·         Ability to plan, organize, monitor and execute a project.
·         Desire to produce win-win situations.
 
Skills
·         Computer skills, full knowledge of MS Office Suite;
·         Language skills – English and one other European language, preference for German, French, Spanish or Italian
 
 
WORKING CONDITIONS
·         European Headquarter based (The Netherlands)
  • Approx 50% travel per month
