| Performs Functions associated with production of quartz components in the laser department including set-ups. Logs and collects all data on production of quartz components and fibers. Performs routine maintenance on all lasers. Troubleshoots problems and malfunctions on laser stations. This position is responsible for practicing all quality procedures and complying with all company polices. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Operate Lasers to produce quality quartz components and fibers. 2. Follow proper procedure while cleaning quartz components. 3. Measure and check Tubing ID and OD for dimensional accuracy using a micrometer, caliper and pin gauge. 4. Adjust and set up Lasers from one process to another. 5. Adjust parameters on motion controller program to create quality parts. 6. Read drawing and understand specification. 7. Troubleshoots and solves problems that may occur on laser station. *Essential Functions QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school Experience: • Preferred minimum of 1-2 years of manufacturing experience. • Excellent work history. Skills: • Knowledge of metric measuring tools, micrometers, calipers, and pin gauges. • Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. • Technical competence and excellent attention to detail. • Ability to work in a team environment. Level I – Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making. Usually receives detailed instruction on all work under close supervision. Typically requires 0-1 year of related experience. |
