Per Diem Clinical Staff Pharmacist

St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital / Sugar Land, TX

Description: You will interpret, evaluate, compound, and dispense medications according to written orders issued by an authorized prescriber.  You will also identify, prevent, assess and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient outcome; and promote, through criteria-based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care.  This relief position is every other weekend for the 7A – 7P shift on Sat & Sun.

Qualifications:

- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD)

- Current TX license in good standing

- 5 years’ experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting

- Will consider retail pharmacists if also have hospital experience

Facility: A subsidiary of St. Luke's Episcopal Health System, St. Luke’s Sugar Land Hospital opened in October 2008 with a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services.  The 100-bed, acute care hospital in Sugar Land’s Lake Pointe Town Center is located at U.S. Highway 59 and Highway 6.  Management of the 24/7 pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.
