THE JOB—WHAT IT IS: As a Facilities Project Manager with Terracon you will be responsible for managing and performing Forensic and Facilities projects such as: forensic distress studies, building envelope / water intrusion studies, property condition assessments, pavement assessments, litigation support, construction monitoring, and draw reviews. You will execute the projects from proposal to final reporting under the direction of the Department Manager. You will coordinate field activities, testing and analysis, and reporting required to complete the assigned projects. You will also mentor to the younger professionals that are involved on the projects. While the majority of projects are located in the South / Central Texas area, some out-of-town or out-of-state travel should be anticipated.
THE PERSON—WHAT IT TAKES: You must have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and be licensed as a Texas Professional Engineer. You should have at least 5 years experience in Forensic or Facilities Engineering, a background in Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Engineering is a plus. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD, internet-based computer applications, analytical and problem solving; written and verbal communication; and timely and efficient management of projects. You must have a valid drivers license.
