Sr Test Engineer
Job Description:
Akimeka LLC, a Hawaiian based company, has an opportunity for a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Developer and Test Engineer. The position is located in Falls Church, Virginia and requires U.S. Citizenship. The selected candidate will work with analysts, developers, and customer representatives to oversee testing and implement quality improvement initiatives for a medical logistics data warehouse project. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a minimum of supervision while ensuring the highest quality assurance and testing standards.
 
This contract requires the team to design, develop (and integrate other Government Off The Shelf (GOTS), and/or Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products as approved or provided by the Government), test, deliver, then operate and maintain software solutions that will allow users of Military Health System (MHS)  applications to seamlessly move between approved applications at the point of care.  Full deployment of this capability will require services to an estimated 3,000 users in Theater (active combat theaters under USCENTCOM) and an additional 75,000 users in Garrison (all other CONUS and overseas commands).  There are expected to be approximately 1,800 and 30,000 concurrent users, in Theater and Garrison, respectively.  Based on recommendation of the selected services contractor and other independent evaluations, the Government may purchase required COTS products for integration into the solution proposed by the Contractor. 
 
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. Equivalent knowledge and experience will also be considered.
 
Essential Skills:
  • Five + years experience in Software QA (SQA)
  • Must bring at least 3 years of experience with QTP (Quick Test Pro) and QC (Quality Center)
  • Experience with Oracle 10g, DBs, SQL, ColdFusion, Java code
  • Strong self-starter
  • Develop and document specific test processes, procedures, and requirements (test plans, test staging, and regression suites) based upon industry standards and best practices
  • Analyze, implement, and maintain testing tools
  • Create test reports that include software quality assurance metrics
  • Verify SQA industry standards are being followed via code reviews, documentation reviews, test results, etc
  • Coordinate and/or perform QA checks on all code before it is released to functional experts for acceptance testing and subsequent release to user community
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management processes and principles
  • Experience with one or more of the following systems is essential: AHLTA-Mobile, AHLTA-Theater, DoD Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System,Industrial Hygiene (DOEHRS-IH), TMIP Composite Health Care System Caché (TC2), SNAP Automated Medical System (SAMS), Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS), Joint Medical Workstation (JMeWS), Joint Medical Analysis Tool (JMAT), DMLSS Customer Assistance Module (DCAM), Patient Movement Items Tracking System (PMITS) PlexusD, U.S. Transportation Command Regulating and Command & Control Evacuation System (TRAC2ES) Interface with TMDS, TMIP Framework, Medical Situational Awareness in the Theater (MSAT), Blood Management, Wounded Ill and Injured (WII) 
Non-essential Skills:
  • Experience with Business Objects, DataIntegrator
  • Experience working with the Mercury product line
  • DoD IM/IT project exposure
