Desktop Publishing Engineer

LSA is currently looking for an experienced Desktop Publishing Engineer.   This position will support the Translation & Localization Department. We are looking for someone ready to take their career to a higher level and seeking to make an immediate impact (someone who can hit the ground running). 

Duties include (but not limited to):

·        Work as a member of a translation and localization team that includes translators, project managers, and designers.

·        Engineer and Re-engineer Captivate and Lectora courses in multiple languages.

·        Incorporate audio and video into training materials

·        Extract translatable text from a variety of design file formats.

·        Consult with the Division Manager on graphic and web design issues involved in developing client solutions.

·        Ensure that translated media files function correctly prior to delivery.

·        Make recommendations for software and hardware upgrades.

·        Manage, organize, and prioritize a high volume of publication deliverables.

Requirements:

• Comfortable using both Mac and Windows Operating Systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Quark, Adobe Creative Suite, MicroSoft products, Captivate, Lectora, Flash, .html and audio engineering. 
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Bilingual (helpful, but not required)
• Ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in a very diverse, multi-cultural environment
• Flexible and able to work well under pressure
