Position Overview
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for many phases of the software development lifecycle including technical research, requirements analysis, high level and technical design, implementation of new functionality, unit testing, debugging, and maintenance. We have many projects for which we need hardworking and skilled individuals.
Replicon’s development team is enthusiastic and results driven.  The more you prove your ability to deliver real solutions to problems with a positive attitude, the more flexibility and freedom you will have to write software the way you want.  Being able to write long resumes does not impress us; being able to write good software impresses us (it’s a lot harder).
Responsibilities:
  • Working within the Research and Development team, specifically on the software design and development of commercial web-based software products and applications
  • Design, implement, and tune features that work within the time-tracking / project management environment
  • Work within Replicon’s software development expectations, processes, and quality initiatives
  • Work to accurately evaluate risk and estimate software development tasks
  • Strive to continually improve technical and developmental skills
Qualifications:
  • A thorough understanding of C++ and/or C#, not only the language, but the community, libraries, resources, common design patterns, and best practices. 
  • Experience with DHTML and JavaScript.
  • A working familiarity of databases (SQL or Oracle).
  • Knowledge of how the Internet works (sockets, TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, SMTP/POP3).
  • Familiar with developing and debugging in a Windows environment, and a working familiarity with issues such as NT security, Win32 processes, memory management, and DLLs.  All of our products are Windows based.
  • Able to learn in half an hour, given access to a web browser, anything on this list  
  • Experience developing web apps with ASP.NET and AJAX (an asset)
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, and databases (an asset)
  • Familiarity with Macs (an asset)
  • Familiarity with Solaris/UNIX/Linux/etc (an asset)
