We are looking for exceptional Java developers to join us in building a revolutionary, terabyte-scalable event-driven data analysis platform. Developers in this role work closely with our quantitative and financial analysts, a group that includes some of the best minds from the world of applied math and science. Their software is used immediately by researchers and works in concert with our automated trading system.
We currently use Java on Linux, with native C for performance, where appropriate. Traditional relational databases house our highly structured data and, for our largest datasets, we have implemented custom in-house databases. In this position, one of the challenges will be to help set the course for next-generation development, with the only constraint being a mandate to achieve the highest possible performance-price ratio and ease of use.
The engineering problems that we face are technically challenging and might seem impossible to your co-workers. Off-the-shelf solutions to our problems do not exist; we enjoy a competitive advantage by staying ahead of the curve. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive on problem solving and want to put their computer science degree to good use. |
