Stanley Associates is seeking a Software Engineer to join an existing team. Our software is developed in C# using the .Net 2.0 framework and we will be upgrading to 3.5 into the next release. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate, working in a fast paced but business casual environment, working with other talented people and redesigning a state-of-the-art product. The candidate will collaborate with other team members and senior developers to design/enhance and implement an enterprise-class web-based .Net product.
Specific Duties:

Provides identification/fixing of problems within existing software, design/implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing applications.

Participates in analysis, design and new construction of IT applications.

Responsible for understanding the needs of the customers and the realities of commercially available IT products, and creating requirements that will allow implementation by the development team and COTS products.

Experience as a systems engineer and a software developer on one or more OSS (Operational Software Systems) is preferred.

Must have solid technical background with a focus on software and systems.

General knowledge of teleCommunications (ex. - TCP/IP), computer languages (ex. - C#, SQL, XML), operating systems (ex. - Windows, NT, *NIX), database/DBMS (ex. - Oracle, Access, Sybase) is required.

General knowledge of how customers use IT solutions.

Familiarity with SEI/CMM and/or ISO 9001 environments desirable.
Minimum Education Requirement and Years of Experience:
A minimum of three years performing the following activities is required for this position:
-
Experience developing web-based applications including knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Experience in PL/SQL development.

Knowledge of multiple application tiers.

Experience working within a formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Ability to work as a member of a larger team.

Good work ethic and positive "can-do" attitude.
Additional Requirements:

This position requires U.S. Citizenship.

This position requires that the successful candidate be able to obtain a Department of Defense issued ACTIVE TOP SECRET security clearance.

This position also requires: The ability to successfully complete the Stanley Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment;

Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
Preferred:

Currently possess DoD Active Top Secret Clearance.

Experience working with ASP.Net.

Experience with the .Net framework (3.5/2.0) preferred, Java/J2EE expertise or other modern Web frameworks also acceptable.

Experience with true object oriented programming (OOP) .

Experience with Oracle10g server products.

Experience with XML.
-
Expertise with CSS and JavaScript.
