Specific Duties:

• Utilize Iterative full-lifecycle development methodology.
• Analyze complex requirements.
• Create reliable project effort estimates.
• Identify and implement complex subsystems.
• Create technical documentation.
• Maintain design and programming guidelines.
• Perform design and code reviews.
• Evaluate 3rd party solutions and prepare recommendations and cost benefit analysis for their use.
• Develop proof-of-concept prototypes.
• Design and implement solutions to satisfy nonfunctional requirements such as scalability, usability, maintainability and supportability.

Minimum Education Requirement and Years of Experience: 

• A BA/BS Degree in a related field is required for this position, however, relevant experience will be considered in lieu of this education requirement.

A minimum of five years performing the following activities is required for this position:

• Experience developing web-based applications including knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience in T-SQL or PL/SQL development.
• Knowledge of multiple application tiers.
• Experience working within a formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to work as a member of a larger team.
• Good work ethic and positive "can-do" attitude.

Additional Requirements:

• This position requires U.S. Citizenship.
• This position requires that the successful candidate be able to obtain a Department of Defense issued ACTIVE SECRET security clearance.
• This position also requires: The ability to successfully complete the Stanley Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment;
• Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.

Preferred:

• Candidate already possess an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience working with ASP.Net (VB or C#).
• Experience with the .Net framework (3.5/2.0) preferred, Java/J2EE expertise or other modern. Web frameworks also acceptable.
• Experience with true object oriented programming (OOP).
• Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server products.
• Experience with XML.
• Expertise with CSS and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of VMWare.
• Familiarity with development in a government-secure environment.
• Familiarity with Agile software practices.
• Experience with the .Net AjaxControlToolkit.
• Experience with the Lotus suite of products.
