Technical Writer

 

As part of Global Professional Services’ Americas Theater team, the Technical Report Writer is responsible for creating formal client reports, from first draft to final edits.  The successful incumbent will ensure each report is voiced and presented in a consistent and professional manner according to Panduit Global Professional Services’ standards.

 

Specific Duties:

·         Through interaction with Global Professional Services’ personnel and the review of on-site assessment worksheets, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, etc., organizes material and completes writing assignments (e.g., client reports, procedures, etc.)

·         Ensures writing assignments meet standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, terminology, etc., and are ready for formal presentation to Panduit Global Professional Services clients.

·         Works with Global Professional Services offerings team and subject matter experts as required to develop standardized content and copy for report templates.

 

Skills, Training, Experience Required:

·         Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing Communications or Communications

·         Three (3) or more years technical writing experience with proven ability to consolidate technical input and analyses to create logical, understandable reports for both technical and non-technical audiences

·         Current with technical communication practices and standards, and capable of incorporating this knowledge into project and day-to-day work

·         Superior writing and communication skills

·         Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·         Familiar with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Outlook

·         Knowledge of desktop publishing applications (Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or similar) a plus

·         Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus

·         Able to work independently as well as part of a large project team

·         Capable of managing and prioritizing own workload to meet multiple project deadlines
