Software Engineer – Data Systems

Join our dedicated and talented team of individuals all focused on creating the best products in the marketplace. We currently have an opportunity for Software Engineer – Data Systems in our Glendale, CA office.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Define, design, and implement data and content solutions that integrate with different information distribution platforms.
  • Develop reporting systems, tools, and applications to facilitate management of content.
  • Identify and source new data and define approaches for data integration.
  • Work with product management and application development teams to develop new applications for content.
  • Implement and enforce rules for content usage as defined by product management, data architects, and legal.
  • Develop and manage content metadata.
  • Develop deep expertise in multiple areas.
  • Keep abreast of latest technologies and trends.
  • Learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance.
  • Be committed to adhering to project schedules and milestones.
  • Work in a team environment and be a team player.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • 3 Years Experience in Object Oriented Programming.
  • Knowledge in Ruby On Rails, Java, Perl, Python, C++.
  • Knowledge in database development and information aggregation and distribution.
  • Knowledge in SQL, shell scripting, and XML.
  • Knowledge with UNIX/LINUX, ORACLE, Postgres.
  • Knowledge with web technologies.
  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interactive problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
 
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
