Founded in 1983, IIMAK is the leading North American manufacturer and distributor of thermal transfer ribbons and is a global leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of printing, imaging and marking consumable supplies and related services.

IIMAK's corporate headquarters and primary manufacturing center encompasses a 300,000 sq.ft. facility in Buffalo, NY.  The Buffalo facility also provides support for their international hubs located in Belgium, Brazil, Mexico and China. 

The company employs over 350 people locally at their state-of-the-art facilities, including a full-time staff of research and development engineers and scientists with advanced degrees in mechanical, industrial, chemical and electrical engineering, as well as chemistry and polymer chemistry.
