Summary of Work Performed:
This position is responsible for leading operations engineering and maintenance teams, managing capital and process improvement projects, and supporting corporate and seven branch plant facilities in
Duties include:
- Staffing, training, and development of engineers and technicians
- Supervising union and non-union maintenance personnel
- Planning, budgeting, and executing capital and system startup projects
- Managing facilities, equipment, and preventive maintenance programs
- Ensuring quality and regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA, ISO, cGMP/GMP, DOT)
- Partnering with EHS to develop and implement risk management strategy
- Directing specialty chemical, food, and pharmaceutical process improvements
- Leading monthly Project Management Review (PMR)
- Serving at HAZWOPER incident command level
- Supporting development and implementation of CFATS Site Security Plans
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Chemistry, Biology or equivalent field required. Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years technical management experience in specialty chemical, food ingredient, and pharmaceutical industries, including plant manufacturing, storage, and distribution systems.
- Minimum of 10 years experience directing capital and process improvement projects, facilities and equipment maintenance, and new system startups in both union and non-union industrial environments.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO, cGMP/GMP, DOT & CFATS regulations.
- Working knowledge of MPro, MRP/ERP systems, MS-Office applications (Word, Excel, and Access), and Lean Manufacturing practices.
