Electric Power R&D Company Seeks Engineer/Scientist for Energy Utilization Project (Knoxville, TN)
 
The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) is looking for a project engineer/scientist for the Energy Utilization area of its Power Delivery & Utilization Sector.
In This Position
In this role, you will:
  • Power System Design and Test
  • Project and Project Team Management
  • Business and Client Development

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree (preferably in electrical engineering).
  • Has three years of experience with the design, development and testing of integrated power and energy system components, including:
    • UPS’s
    • Diesel generators
    • Transfer switches
    • Voltage regulation equipment
    • Noise suppression filters
    • Transient voltage surge protectors
    • Transformers
    • Overcurrent protection devices
  • Has experience in an electrical test laboratory and a working knowledge of laboratory test equipment, such as:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Multimeters
    • Current probes
    • Digital power meters
    • Data acquisition systems
  • Is familiar with power conditioning systems and their applications.
  • Can effectively multitask and manage multiple projects, coordinate and facilitate technical engineering-related communications with peers and clients, and apply scientific and engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Has impeccable communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Due to Government work, must be a United States Citizen
