Electric Power R&D Company Seeks Senior Engineer Scientist for Power Delivery & Utilization Projects (Burnt Hills, NY)

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) is looking for a Senior Engineer/Scientist for the Distribution area of its Power Delivery & Utilization sector. 
 
In This Position
In this role, you will:
  • Use industry-accepted modeling and analysis tools to study a power system operational issues(with particular emphasis on electric distribution systems), including:
    • Load flow;
    • Short circuit;
    • Stability;
    • Dynamic interaction;
    • Harmonics; and
    • Transient studies.
  • Research and resolve technical problems.
  • Draft proposals and statements of work.
  • Create and monitor budgets and timelines.
  • Coordinate project teams.
  • Write technical reports.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering (MSEE).
  • Has a minimum of four years of related experience (preferred).
  • Is computer savvy, including familiarity with MS Office suite.
  • Possesses a general understanding of research projects from project definition to delivery and application.
  • Can perform multiple and complex tasks with limited direction, yet knows when to ask for guidance.
  • Takes initiative.
  • Is a proficient technical writer and skilled communicator.
