ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
The success of a trial often depends on presenting complex material in a clear, concise and compelling manner. The FTI Trial Services team includes graphics consulting experts who specialize in a wide range of visual communications devices and graphics. Our consultants select the most appropriate presentation formats to maximize impact and memorability, and then create persuasive graphic presentations that support, clarify and emphasize the key themes of a case. We provide superior illustrations and visual aids that help simplify complex technical subjects for jurors.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Client Service and Management
- Work directly with clients and experts to develop informative graphic presentations that effectively and clearly teach complex concepts
- Conceptualize, design and direct the creation/production of demonstrative exhibits for courtroom, client and marketing presentations, including board graphics, video, and multi-media presentations
- Assume overall responsibility for insuring client expectations are met; establish and maintain a line of communication between the client and the delivery team
- Work with Project Managers to define the scope of work to include deliverables and deadlines. Ensure that a mutual understanding of the scope of work and related costs exists between all parties.
- Manage on-site war room environment and provide graphic support to clients in trial as needed
- Oversee progress of work to ensure delivery within established framework and deadlines
- Lead, manage and grow multiple projects simultaneously
- Meet or exceed billable hour target

- Assist Project Managers in collecting prompt payment for services
Business Development
- Pitch new business to law firm and corporate clients, writing proposals, and leveraging existing client relationships
- Network with and present to internal professionals in different practice groups to encourage their use of graphics skills and introduction to clients
People Development
- Leverage and manage workload among other consultants and graphic artists
- Train and mentor other consultants
- Share and promote best practices through work share and experience
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Client service orientation in demanding, deadline-driven situations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Capacity to work in a consultative manner, conceptualize visually and find creative presentation solutions for complex subject matter
- Flexibility to accommodate changing scope and deadlines
- Ability to be self-directed and take initiative
- Ability to manage and grow client relationships
- Ability to manage and art direct work among project teams; coach and develop others
- Intermediate level of design skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint; beginner to moderate level of skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus
- Availability to travel 25 – 50% of time
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, studies in art or related field a plus
- Sales or presentation training a plus
- 10+ years experience in litigation consulting or related field
