Brewer Consulting is FTI's Construction Solutions business in Europe, Middle East and Asia and forms part of FTI's Forensic, Litigation and Consulting segment.

Summary of the Position
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Consultant to join our growing team of professionals at Brewer Consulting (An FTI Company) in Abu Dhabi.  We are seeking an experienced construction professional with claims consultancy experience, who is skilled at claims preparation, commercial management and dispute resolution.

Job Description
Reporting to the Branch Manager of the Abu Dhabi office, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the range of work carried out in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.  This will include assisting with quantum expert work, commercial/contract management, representing parties in adjudication, preparation and response to time and money claims.
The position offers the opportunity for advancement within the practice including the responsibility to manage others in connection with any commission for which the consultant is made responsible, and the
opportunity to assist in business development activities. The position also provides the opportunity to assist in the delivery of inhouse training programmes to clients for those who find this work of
interest.
This opportunity would suit an enthusiastic and committed individual with a desire to learn and to develop the experience already gained in this field. Good analytical, written and oral communication skills are key skills required of this position.

Requirements
Required or Desirable
• A good first degree in engineering, construction or quantity
surveying. R
• A recognised construction professional qualification in
quantity surveying, engineering or building R
• A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience R
• A sound knowledge of construction and contract law R
• A second degree in law or construction law or some other
legal qualification D
• Hands on experience in dealing with commercial aspects of
the construction process R
• Experience of delivering projects on site D
• Minimum 3 years in a construction contract consultancy D
• Experience of claim preparation and response R
• Experience with adjudication D
• Experience of expert work D

Responsibilities
• Undertake a range of commissions
• Take responsibility for driving them to a successful completion
• Provide a timely and high quality service to clients that is proportionate
to the issues to be resolved or service to be delivered
• Take responsibility for providing high quality written reports and advice
• Manage the input of others necessary to complete the task
• Comply with the Quality Assurance procedures of the practice
• Complete a monthly time sheet
• Keep the client informed about progress and prepare a monthly client
report
