ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
FTI Healthcare is a 150-member practice which focuses primarily on acute care providers in the U.S. market. This practice within FTI has grown at an average of 20% annually over the past four years, and is poised for continued growth at this pace.
FTI Healthcare is seeking an experienced clinical professional with prior/hands on experience in supply chain and non-labor cost management operations utilizing complex technical tools to identify and track supply chain opportunities for our hospital clients. The individual must have hands-on responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and directing the transformation of key supply chain business processes. In addition to strong management skills, the candidate should possess a track record of successfully performing in and managing high performance, interdisciplinary teams to meet project milestones and achieving measurable performance outcomes.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Our Supply Chain Clinicians are responsible for utilizing their vast clinical operational knowledge to identify opportunities and implement supply chain solutions for hospital clients. He/she works onsite with our various operational Supply Chain specialists and supports them by gathering and analyzing purchase order, accounts payable, general ledger and other relevant data. Our onsite clinicians then work with the client, especially targeting clinical personnel, to validate and implement the identified savings opportunities related to patient care delivery.
- Build and cultivate client relationships while expanding the FTI Healthcare client portfolio.
- Exhibit personal leadership skill and ability.
- Provide project management and client management expertise as needed.
- Use clinical expertise to extract pertinent data for initiative based analysis.
- Analyze data specific to clinical products for potential savings opportunities.
- Compile data along with information gathered from key interviews to formulate an assessment document.
- Prepare drafts of written analyses, reports, and presentations to be delivered to clients.
- Develop proposals for implementation deliverables for Administrators, Physicians, Clinical Leads and Supply Chain.
- Develop business cases for Physician Preference Items; Prepare FTI team members and selected client personnel prior to meetings with Physicians.
- Perform implementation activities based on assessment criteria on day to day basis, integrating with other members of team. Establish Value Analysis Teams and mentor identified client staff involved in process improvement efforts.
- Maintain detailed work-paper records of assumptions, methodologies, information sources and final decisions determined during the performance of all implementation tasks.
- Deliver a quality work product within established timeframes.
- Capable of developing rapport and credibility with Physician groups.
- Mentor various Procurement positions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive supply chain clinical experience in operational areas such as Operating Room, Cardiovascular Services, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics or other critical care area.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience should encompass all aspects of supply chain, with a focus on developing and implementing innovative procurement strategies designed to reduce supply chain expenses and/or enhance revenue.
- Thorough experience with related products within clinical expertise areas.
- Demonstrated abilities in developing strong relationships with physicians, clinicians, executives and vendors in order to facilitate and enhance best business practices related to procurement, strategic sourcing, and clinical supply utilization, leading to extensive year over year non-labor supply chain expense reductions.
- Prior consulting experience in a nationally recognized professional services firm.
- Hands on implementation experience in an acute care provider environment.
- Strong work experience as demonstrated through employment tenures and advancement history.
- Managerial experience in healthcare field.
- Experience in delivering and providing oiversight to Value Analyses.
- Registered Nurse, BSN and/orMaster’s degree, MHA or MBA is preferred.
- Must be willing to travel weekly, typically out of town a minimum of four days/week (i.e., at least 80%).
