Carbine Studios is looking for a Sr. Quest Designer who can create high-quality quest content for an upcoming MMORPG.  The Sr. Quest Designer collaborates with the Lead to ensure that the overall design vision of the game is represented through quest content.  This position will create content that is consistent with the game systems, lore, and story. 

Successful candidates will possess a solid, creative vision and will be able to translate that vision into compelling game content using the tools and systems in place.  They should also be able to maintain a clear understanding of both the capabilities and the limitations of the game engine, and be able to create compelling quest with those in mind.

Requirements

• 3 years professional experience working in a quest design role
• Shipped at least one AAA quality product working in a design capacity
• Proven managerial skills, with the ability to teach and mentor junior employees
• A strong background in game development, writing and quest design (preferably on an MMORPG)
• Strong decision-making and organizational skills 

Preferred

• Broad knowledge of various genres and games and an ability to critically analyze them from a design perspective
• Experience with scripting languages (Java, Python, LUA, etc)
• Hands-on knowledge of the MMORPG genre
