NCsoft West is seeking a highly qualified Data Analyst to become a member of our growing Information Services team in Austin, TX.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment with eight other members of the IS team.  The primary data store is fueled by a real-time online billing system linked to multiple online gaming environments yielding thousands of transactions daily in multiple currencies. Your analysis and query skills will help drive informed decision making across the Western Hemisphere where accurate reporting is a key factor in the continued success of NCsoft West!

You will be using SQL and Business Intelligence tools for the development of reporting and analytical applications, identifying discrete data elements and collating data across distributed systems. You’ll also build data models to analyze player behavior.

Using data models and OLAP cubes, you will pinpoint problem areas, root out fraudsters and abusers, and generally aid in making our games more fun for players!

Responsibilities:

·        Develop and test raw SQL to support reporting initiatives

·        Develop reports using Cognos

·        Develop detailed reporting specifications for projects

·        Assist with internal auditing procedures and maintain audit logs

·        Evaluate and summarize data gathered from multiple sources, resolving conflicting data issues

Requirements:

·        Smart, driven, and adaptable

·        Passionate about information accuracy

·        2 years minimum professional experience in a Data Analyst role

·        Considerable experience using Structured Query Language (SQL)

·        Data-mining and statistical analysis knowledge and experience

·        Understanding of accounting principles and financial data reporting

·        Experience in data mining and producing reports from multiple data sources

·        BS/BA in Business Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar field (equivalent on the job experience is acceptable)
