Cosmopolitan, compact, energetic, unique, fun, lively, and historic, Sales Manager - Brighton Reporting to the Sales Director, the Sales Manager manages a team of Sales people/ account manager with responsibility for digital and physical goods distribution in EMEA region. The Sales manager is also responsible for meeting NCsoft Sales Targets and building the market via European distributors and customers. Together with the Sales Director, the Sales Manager is also responsible for identifying and bringing on board new distributors and business partners to increase the effectiveness of the channel distribution strategy and provide a viable go-to-market route for all NCsoft products and services. The Sales Manager works in partnership with the publishing team, and more specifically sales and marketing departments to secure an appropriate supply of materials to meet distributor needs and maintain high levels of end user customer satisfaction. Success in this role relies on excellent interpersonal skills coupled with an in-depth understanding of the Online gaming Industry Sales and Distribution channels. Key Contributions 1. Manage the Sales Team · Organise a bi-annual review with each member of the team and define with them objectives and personal development planning and work with them to produce top level sales. · Create the strategic business plan for the Sales team specifying goals, strategies and resource requirements. · Provide overall direction and support to the team · Assist the Sales Director with International Business strategy for digital and physical goods distribution. Think outside the box and participate in the overall digital strategy. 2. Distribution Channels and Meet Sales goals · Liaise directly with distribution partners on a regular basis to understand their needs and provide them with any relevant information from NCsoft so that they commit to meeting agreed Sales Volumes. · Travel within Europe in order to gain a strong local market knowledge and to build strong communication with NCsoft digital partners (Distributor and Customer). · Together with the Marketing team, evangelise NCsoft portfolio to our Distribution partners and customer. · Act as first point of contact between the channel and NCsoft team on all matters of delivery, distribution, availability and quality. · Provide NCsoft team knowledge and information about local market and distribution trend. · Provide feedback to the NCsoft teams and more specially marketing department from the distribution channel regarding product features and local needs · Take part in Distributor events, presenting NCsoft product range in collaboration with the publishing team · Provide an educational service to the channel to improve their understanding of newly emerging business and pricing models and help them establish effective sales campaigns in a complex and competitive online business market · Engage, together with the Legal and New Business Manager, OEMs and other 3rd parties to identify and implement promotions and other sales campaigns designed to improve product visibility and open the market for new customers. 3. Develop the Distribution Channel · Provide analysis of NCsoft distribution network performance and Feedback to the Sales Directors recommendations on how to improve our business. · Identify and recruit new business partners for NCsoft distribution and Sales in line with the overall Business Strategy and provide rationale regarding their suitability. · Create and deliver well-researched business cases to Sales Director A successful performer in this role will:
· Demonstrate a high level of understanding of online video game, MMORPG and new business models. · Must understand all facets of online and service business · Exhibit a high degree of cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness especially in crafting communications and identifying sales strategies · Persuade and influence a wide range of business contacts using highly developed communication and interpersonal skills · Plan and manage successfully in complex scenarios displaying strong organisational and information handling ability · Think “outside the box” to come up with innovative approaches and solutions · Establish strong relationships with a diverse population of business contacts so that “soft-selling” and partnering approaches deliver sales numbers for NCsoft · Manage and prioritise complex information · Excellent organization and project management skills, outstanding written and oral communication skills, ability to manage multiple and changing priorities and adhere to deadlines. · Proactive, self-starter with ability to work independently. Strong ability to set priorities, solve problems and maintain grace under pressure. · Requires travel, approximately 10+ trips a year. · Must be willing to work additional long hours when the job requires. · passion for online entertainment, MMORPG and gaming a plus
