Travelzoo's Assistant Producers will source and evaluate travel offers to develop the hottest deals for publishing on our Web site and in our newsletters. Responsibilities include finding deals, researching, writing and publishing; sharing with publishers potential deals for newsletters; working with producers/sales staff to help turn editorial finds into paid content; identifying key need areas of the Web site where greater content variety is needed. Assistant Producers must be self motivated and goal oriented; each Assistant Producer will be required to publish a set number of travel deals per week.
Responsibilities:
Sourcing, researching and developing ‘wow’ travel deals
Writing clear and concise copy that explains why the offer is an outstanding deal
Working closely with fellow producers and sales staff to develop deals and grow client relationships
Utilizing various sources to be aware of travel deals in the market, then evaluating them to publish the very best in a quick and effective manner
Communicating deals sourced that are newsletter-ready or worthy of further discussion
Understanding the needs and interests of current and potential clients, while weighing the importance of publishing the best editorial content for our users
Looking for areas on our web site where content is lacking and needs more variety, then sourcing and developing deals to meet those needs
Provide information to producers/sales teams who will be expected to follow up with clients directly on leads, high click volume seen from editorial postings, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; minimum GPA of 3.0
Interest in online content and travel deals
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong project management, problem solving and organizational skills
Self motivated and self managing
Passionate about travel deals and great travel content
Curious about new places and travel experiences
Travel knowledge, especially in the hotel industry, a plus
Love finding good deals, and telling others about them
