The Commercial Operations - Master Black Belt/Black Belt is responsible for managing the Value Based Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement process implementation within an assigned Fluid and Motion Control (FMC) organization for the Value Based Commercial Excellence project. The MBB/BB will utilize diagnostic and opportunity identification techniques to identify high value project opportunities and prioritize projects to achieve the Value Based Commercial Excellence (VBCE) Program objectives and goals. The MBB/BB will deploy VBLSS resources and manage the VBCE for the Value Center within the deployment plan identified by ITTs VBCE Leadership. As required, the MBB/BB will lead select improvement projects and will document and share best practices across FMC, Success in this position can lead to promotion to key management positions. You will receive in depth training focused on IMS, VBLSS Infrastructure, Conducting Diagnostics, and Lean Six Sigma Problem Solving. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determine requirements: Effectively communicate with strategic planning, marketing, sales and customer facing functions to establish VBLSS requirements related to the VBCE . The requirements should focus on VBCE program needs and the associated functionality, reliability, salability, and value of the tools, processes and training.
- Identify opportunities prioritize projects and allocate VBLSS resources: Conduct diagnostics and opportunity identification workshops. Understand and document existing projects. Ensure that projects are properly defined and financially justified. Facilitate VBCE VC team needs and expertise areas to prioritize projects and allocate resources. Using diagnostic tools and working with local VBLSS resources, assess project opportunities and prioritize project solutions and resources.
- Manage multiple VBLSS projects: Work with value center management team to remove barriers to project success. Provide coaching to employees to ensure that the correct problem solving techniques are used and robust solutions are implemented. Motivate teams to drive change and achieve results. Run process to review.
- Share Best Practices: Document and share best practices developed within the FMC VBCE program. Report results, issues and progress to the VBCE and Commercial Excellence Leadership teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree preferably in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional level experience as a member or leading improvement teams.
- Experience in a sales/marketing role
- Experience in an industrial B2B environment
- Current Black Belt, Master Black Belt, Lean Leader or Lean Master certification is required
- Position requires: strong project management skills, strong interpersonal skills, team leadership and coaching skills, strong financial, analystical and budget skills. Must be able to lead and direct change.
