Position Summary
The SVP, General Manager is responsible for the Regional Office and oversees all consulting staff, delivery quality and office operations.  The SVP, General Manager plans the appropriate capacity and cost structure based on the projected revenue targets for the region in partnership with the Operations function.  Together, the SVP, General Manager and Operations lead coordinate the P&L for an office and jointly plan the budget.
 
The SVP, General Manager serves as the leader for a Regional Office, much like a regional COO.  The SVP, General Manager is responsible for:

  • Regional Office profitability – coordinating with the regional MD to balance cost structure with revenue projections.
  • Quality of Delivery – ensuring oversight of complex projects and/or deliverables.
  • People management – career development, recruiting, retention, capacity planning, and staffing.
  • Regional office communications.
  • Office operations.
 The SVP, General Manager will have 15 years of Professional Service experience, including significant people management, project management and operational skills.  While not a primary focus of the role, the individual should have business development experience within professional services, in order to appropriately gauge project scope and mentor her/his team.
 
Education/Work Experience
 
  • 15+ yrs overall experience preferred including:
    • 10 + yrs of senior level management experience.
  • Significant engagement management experience at senior levels of the client relationship, in a multi-disciplined agency environment is a must.
  • Consulting experience required.
  • Internet management experience is beneficial.
  • Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
