Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for the co-creation/design, review, and ongoing management of business practices, processes and systems to ensure maximum operating efficiency and ultimate achievement of office operating targets, including profitability and productivity goals. Lead development, new hire and introductory trainings. The Operations Manager will work closely with Finance, Legal, Resource Management, Engagement Management HR, and IS functions.
The Operations Manager is a key role within Organic. This person is responsible for managing the overall risk & financial health for a large portfolio of projects. He/She must have the ability to resolve cross-department issues in project staffing and management.
Education/Work Experience
- 5+ yrs overall experience preferred including:
- 5+ yrs of relevant experience.
- 5+ yrs of project management experience in an interactive agency.
- Program Management Experience preferred.
- Marketing experience required (Interactive/digital marketing experience highly preferred).
- Experience in organizational development. Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- General experience with employee relations and performance management.
- General experience with recruiting and the recruiting process.
- Comprehensive business management skills, encompassing tactical as well as strategic thinking.
- Excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of Internet web development, online advertising production, project management and finance.
- Proficient in all MS Office, including MS Project, Visio and Excel. (Extremely proficient in MS Project & Excel. Must be able to export complex data sets and provide analysis on it.)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Day to day tasks include:
- Monitoring the overall risk and financial health for a portfolio of projects.
- Forecasting revenue for a portfolio of clients up to 3 months in advance.
- Reviewing SOWs, project plans, and pricing forecasts to ensure successful delivery.
- Working closely with the Resource Manager to ensure projects are properly staffed within an ever changing environment.
- Resolving cross-department issues in project staffing and management. (Creative, EM, Tech, etc.)
- Managing the PO process for video production
- Identifying gaps and finding solutions to improve the overall delivery success of projects.
