Description

The PGA TOUR Diversity Internship Program is open to all qualified college students, regardless of ethnicity and is committed to attaining greater diversity within our organization, as well as, the golf industry.  Our internship program is designed to expose college students to the business side of golf that supports one of the world's leading sports brand - the PGA TOUR. Your 10-12 week internship experience will be enhanced by activities and projects that will allow you to gain a full picture of how the PGA TOUR and other golf organizations work together to support our players, charities and events on the PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and the Nationwide Tour.
 

Eligibility Criteria:

As of May 21, 2010, all applicants must:

  • be at least 20 years of age; and
  • be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program; and
  • have completed their Sophomore year; and
  • be legally permitted to work in the United States*; and
  • have a minimum cumulative grade point average (gpa) of 2.8.


*International students must be currently enrolled at a US college or university and obtain all visas and employment authorizations prior to the start of the internship. We strongly encourage these students to begin this process early as it may require several months to complete. Contact the International Student Advisor at your university for specific information and requirements.

PGA TOUR Diversity Internship Program
The PGA TOUR is committed to attaining greater diversity within our organization, as well as, the golf industry. To support this effort, the PGA TOUR established the Diversity Internship Program in 1992. Opportunities are available in Marketing, Human Resources, Communications, Public Relations, Information Systems, Event Management, New Media, Tournament Operations, and Tournament Services.  We have also partnered with other golf industry leaders such as GolfWeek Magazine, IMG, The First Tee and the World Golf Hall of Fame to help them diversify their workforce.

While most of our internships are located in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, we do have some internships available at remote locations such as San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Baltimore, MD; Atlanta, GA; Savannah, GA; Miami, FL; Akron, OH; and Paramus, NJ.  Internships are available throughout the year, with the majority of positions open during the summer.

Application Deadline: Completed on-line applications must be submitted on or before February 28, 2010.
Some positions may require an early start date, therefore, submit your application as soon as possible to be considered for all positions. Late entries may be considered, depending on program needs.  The application process is outlined on our corporate website: www.pgatour.com/internships.

Personal Essay Requirement:  A Personal Essay is a required component to apply for an internship.  This form can be found in the Application Process section of our website:  www.pgatour.com/internships.  Personal essays should be completed prior to applying on-line. We will only consider applications with completed essays for open positions.
