Sr. Scientist, Formulation Development

We are looking for a motivated, dedicated professional who wants to combine their skills with our uniquely talented team to change the current paradigm of drug discovery and development. The candidate will be working in the Laboratory located in Pleasanton, California.
Responsible for performing hands-on scientific research for formulation and process development. Support activities for both late stage development programs and discovery research programs. Develop, optimize and characterize liquid and solid dosage forms by performing experiments. Technical writing and verbal communication skills must be excellent. Additional non-clinical development experience is a plus
- Design and conduct hands-on scientific experiments impacting formulation and process development. Expertise required in the areas of intravenous and oral formulation development preferably for small molecules

Plan, perform and analyze laboratory experimentation to advance ideas and guide the formulation and process development eventually leading to commercial formulations

Conduct pre-clinical formulation screening studies to identify formulations for pharmacology and toxicology studies in support of discovery research progr

Develop and/or optimize various analytical methods including HPLC to support formulation development and stability studies.

Work cross-functionally to transfer formulation process and corresponding analytical methods

Draft protocols, technical reports, presentations and pharmaceutical development sections for regulatory dossier
Education:
Phd with 2-5 years experience or M.S. with 5-8 years in a pharmaceutical environment.
