Description

KEY PURPOSE

The key purpose of this position is to support and implement selected applications in the SAP FI  / FI AR environment. The incumbent will be responsible for working with the user community and other BIS teams to understand requirements and to provide IT solutions and relevant business process guidance.


KEY OUTPUTS
Translate Business Requirements (BRS) into Functional and/or Detailed Design specifications
Liaise with the application developers, subject matter experts and users on the interpretation of functional specifications
Reviewing of technical design specifications
Develop process, data and integration models
Develop and implement processes and templates for the analysis and leveraging of Finance systems
End-user and system support
Develop training material and provide training
Identify opportunities and implement (or manage the implementation of) enhancements and configuration changes

Implement & support current and future finance systems projects
Perform testing of all functionality developed

Provide input into the training and change management team.
Provide input into best practice development


KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES
Good understanding of the relevant business processes, specifically within the finance environment

Strong customer service ethic combined with and ability to follow through to completion.
Strong knowledge and understanding of IT processes and methodologies e.g. change control etc.

Strong conceptual thinker with strong analytical & problem solving skill.
Strong focus on quality, standards & attention to detail.
Self-motivated and able to deliver on deadlines.

Understanding of Project Management principles.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a multi disciplinary matrix / team environment.
Exceptional understanding of relevant business processes, specifically, understanding of the value chain and support processes.

Strong knowledge, understanding and configuration skills in SAP FI and SAP FI AR.

Understanding of technical integrations with SAP BW and ABAP

Ability to manage problem identification and resolution;
Strong focus on quality
Strong system aptitude / affinity with technology
Strong customer service ethic

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
IT related tertiary qualification

Minimum of 3 years experience in a project environment specifically end user support, business analysis, system design, and implementation, with at least one full life cycle implementation
Relevant in-depth technical exposure and consulting experience would be an advantage

SAP FI certification would be an advantage

Previous experience in key SAP integration areas such as Loans Management and Banking would be highly advantageous
