The Arts Action Fund Media Intern will assist the Director of Federal Affairs with producing political programs, research, and online publications, and helping to coordinate operations of the Americans for the Arts Action Fund. Working in cooperation with the New Media Manager, the Intern will work on video projects related to the Arts Action Fund for inclusion on website.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Organize existing digital video into a video library
  
• Combine video footage into meaningful collections for online presentation
  
• Act as roving reporter at Arts Advocacy Day (AAD) to collect video footage of event and attendees experiences at event
  
• Assist with editing and compiling footage from AAD to create action oriented messages for the AAF website
  
• Research candidates and advise the Arts Action Fund on candidate positions and policy statements.
  
• Produce and update content for the Arts Action Fund website.
  
• Assist with fundraising efforts.
  
• Assist with communications to Federal candidates and campaign staff. 
  
• Draft articles for Arts Action Fund publications and websites.
  
• Execute other projects and assignments given by the Chief Counsel of Government and Public Affairs or Senior Director of Government Affairs

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Undergraduate student, graduate student, or recent college graduate

SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Encore
  
• Excellent written and organization skills
  
• Proficiency and/or interest in learning basic website management skills

• Some experience in campaigns or political activities 
  
• Strong computer skills
