Specific Responsibilities:

·        Lead a technical manufacturing engineering team responsible for servicing the production and delivery of aerostructure components and assemblies.

·        Lead the manufacturing engineering team to; create and maintain Engineering masters and work orders through an electronic ERP System. Create inspection check lists, first article inspections, manufacturing planning documents, inspection sheets, request for change inquiries, purchase orders, inspection drawings, prepare bid packages for the suppliers/vendors, prepare basis of estimates and quotes in support of business proposals, provide support to the production floor with drawing and technical specifications interpretations. Prevent process bottlenecks and improve processes for the manufacturing engineering activities.

·        Ensure projects and tasks are performed efficiently, on budget/schedule, and to established quality standards.

·        Ensures engineers follow established company procedures and project execution processes.

·        Reports recurring team and individual project activity and performance metrics.

·        Ensure individual development through performance management processes.

·        Promote and solicit team innovation to improve organizational competence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS degree in a related field from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-10 years work experience related to aircraft aerostructure manufacturing
  • Prior supervisory experience leading a team of 5-15 associates
  • Experience utilizing ERP/MRP/Inventory systems
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
