Job Description
 
The Wireless Support Analyst  will be responsible for wireless technology projects especially focused on the homeland security, defense and civil government markets. The successful candidate will assist government clients and contribute in project teams to support their program missions by applying the prevailing wireless technology and management best practices. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to execute tasks in the area of wireless management, strategic planning and analysis, requirements and technology assessments, cost/pricing analysis, acquisition support, implementation planning, risk management, and policy case studies. 
 
Specific activities include: 
  • Provide technical, program management, policy, strategy, financial and acquisition support to DHS and its components in the wireless domain. 
  • Vendor management, inventory analysis, testing and evaluation of audio and surveillance, development of executive reports and communications (both verbal and written), logistics support, research, and analysis of wireless/emergency communications policies and initiatives. 
  • Significant interaction with senior personnel and candidates must be able to operate and perform in a fast-paced environment. 
 
Job Qualifications and Education:
  • BS/BA
  • 10 years of professional experience
  • Secret Security clearance. Must be able to attain a DHS Suitability Clearance
  • Excellent communications (written and verbal), listening, analysis, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical, managerial, and policy issues and evaluating wireless technology (e.g., LMR, microwave, WLAN, WiMAX, 2.5/3/4G Networks) in order to bridge the gap between the technical and business functions.
  • Knowledge area to include project management principles and methods sufficient to plan and carry out difficult and complex studies, and recommend new approaches, solutions, and procedures; and ability to plan, organize, and direct teams.
