This position supports tasking for the Naval Aviation Technical Information Product (NATIP) team in Airworthiness division of NAVAIR.

Essential Job Functions:

Prepares material for technical and/or tactical manuals that contain data required for the operator to safely and effectively employ the aircraft and weapon systems.

Facilitates the engineering for new equipment authorized on aircraft as well as updating existing equipment and stores.

Reviews content for completeness, accuracy and correctness of language use while revising manuscripts to meet predetermined standards of accuracy.

Required Skills:

Must have had DoD avionics engineering roles and responsibilities with at least 10 years of experience including an array of avionics systems engineering and test experience associated with new aircraft, avionics systems, block upgrades and aircraft system integrations such as CNS/ATM, Electronic Defensive Counter Measures,and Mission Planning.

Desired Skills:

Prior military experience with Fixed Wing Navy (F/A-18 in particular) aircrafts.
