Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

 

Primary Job Functions:       

Mechanical Engineer, work with the engine team to support product design and product support. 

 

Reporting Relationship:      

Engineering Lead as directed by Chief Engineer

 

Skills/Abilities/Knowledge:  

·        Must have demonstrated background in product development including knowledge of production and prototype material systems, product forms, joining processes, corrosion and material issues across a broad array of applications.

·        Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals; structural and thermal analysis preferred

·        Design and analysis experience in a fast paced environment preferred

·        Working knowledge of 3D CAD softwar, Autodesk Inventor preferred

·        Strong design skills, GD & T skills

·        Strong Manufacturing skill set with Six Sigma, Robust Engineering and statistical background preferred

·        Basic knowledge of thermal and structural analysis

·        Working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis

·        Working knowledge of materials

·       Knowledge of fabrication methods in a manufacturing environment preferred

 

 

Education/Experience Required:

·        Current authorization to work in the US, BS minimum, or MS, Minimum of 5 years experience and preferably 8+

·        Career includes experience working across a broad range of projects
